Rangers @ Montreal - First Period Thoughts

If someone can find me a more complete first period this season tell me. This has to be up there. 2 great even strength goals, a great powerplay goal and some outstanding goaltending. The Rangers have been dominating the even strength play as of late and it continued in this game. Someone needs to sign Dubinsky to a nice extension because his play as of late has been magnificent. Also, big Jagr getting on the score sheet 3 times is great to see. Definitely nice to see that against Montreal after he got roughed up by them last time. And don’t forget, this is against a team tied for the best record in the East, and we are kicking their asses.

The only bad spot in the period was the second powerplay. That was bad, they had more shots than us but thanks to Henrik, nothing bad came out of it. Now all we have to do is just play regular hockey and we can win this game. I personally would rather see 3 more goals and really put down a statement to the East that we are coming.
