Rangers at Canadiens - Second Period Thoughts

Talk about the game of the week!!!!! What a period hockey wise in addition to a great comeback by the Rangers.

First thing is first though. Something needs to be done about Ryan Hollweg. I don't know if he just isn't smart or has no sense of self control. He is a dangerous dangerous player and not in a good way. I don't know if a suspension will do the job. Ok, I get it, the Kovalev elbow was ridiculous. A total cheap shot and blown call but WHO CARES! Not only did Hollweg cost his team momentum but he could have seriously seriously hurt the Montreal player. Look at what happened to Patrice Bergeron. We don't want to turn into the Flyers. Ryan Hollweg needs to be reprimanded.

Ok next. Where did this Rangers spurt come from?? I honestly can't pick out any Rangers players who are playing exceptionally well. Nice shot by Rozy, unreal shot by Dubie and hard drive to the net by Staal and we are back in the game. Outside of those three moments, we haven't played that well. But, what we are doing is CAPITALIZING on opporunities, something we often do not do. It's kind of nice for a change. I don't think we've seen the Rangers at their best yet this game, which makes me optimistic that they can come out firing in the 3rd.

I hate NBC. These announcers are so biased, its almost impossible to watch. The way they announce the game it's as if the Rangers players are bad people. Apparently every single player is selfish, doesn't try, and never gets any credit for doing anything. We aren't evil. Mike Milbury sucks.

Who knows what the hell is going to happen in this third period. But what great entertainment so far and great heart from our boys.

LET'S GO RANGERS!!!!
