If the rest of the season serves as any type of example, the Rangers are not supposed to win this game tonight. First off, they have not shown the ability to keep up momentum. Big win last night, they certainly have it. Second, we are playing the Devils in NJ, no easy task. Third, what a nice win this would be. How often have the Rangers come through in games like that?
Two things do leave me optimistic. First thing. Yes, this is the second game of a back-to-back but thanks to the blowout win last night, the Rangers will be physically ready to go in this game. Secondly, Sean Avery has been fairly quiet in the past 2 weeks. Nothing can get him as riled up as seeing MAAAARTY in net at the other end. Look for him to create with his stick, gloves, and trashtalk on the ice tonight.
Bottom line is: just play like they did last night and the Rangers will have what we like to call a winning streak.
