Rangers invading Yankee Stadium?

According to ESPN, the New York Yankees and New York Rangers are discussing a deal that would let the Rangers play a game at Yankee Stadium next winter. With the new Yankee Stadium opening next spring, this would make the Rangers game the last game ever played at Yankee Stadium.

On New Year's Day this year, the Pittsburgh Penguins played the Buffalo Sabres in the NHL Winter Classic, which is the NHL's lone outdoor game of the season. For the Rangers to be a part of next year's Winter Classic would be great for the team, its fan base, and the city of New York as a whole.

In other news, don't go looking around the local sports channels for the game today, because it will be broadcast on Versus tonight. Hey, its not NBC, but it is national television, so lets hope the Rangers can keep playing the way they have been, and come away with 2 points.
