What you're seeing here is a chess match awaiting the first mistake. The problem is the Rangers are down a goal meaning that they have to force the issue in the third. Aided by a powerplay to start the period as a result of a great 45 second effort from Scott Gomez the Rangers need to build on some positive offensive play in second period.
Marty Brodeur is good. He's very good. It's going to take some kind of effort to get a puck past him.
Should be a fun but probably very boring Devils style of hockey third period.
