A Huge Game - Rangers @ Islanders Pregame

No one needs to be reminded that tonight's game is a big game. Many people think thats because we are playing the Islanders, our hated rival, and because they beat us on Tuesday. It's more than that though. The Rangers have only 15 games left this season to solidify their playoff position. That's not much time. These are the games we are supposed to win. A game against a non-playoff team with their backup goalie in, is a game a playoff team wins down the stretch. Every game is important now because there is such little time left. Now the Rangers need to not worry so much about making the playoffs but worry more about what spot they will be in come the end of the season.

Tonight's game is a game we should win. The Islanders are a team that we should beat yet for some reason we just can't. The Rangers have the best record in the division against division opponents yet we can't beat the last team in the division. It doesn't make much sense. Tonight, it's time for payback. I have had enough of this Dubie guy beating us and tonight we need to make a statement. We need to dominate this game, like we were in the first period of the game on Tuesday. The only thing different we need to do, is put pucks in the net.

Pittsburgh, Philly and Boston are all playing tonight, all against non-playoff teams, same as the Rangers. Who knows how they will do tonight, but you would expect them all to win. The Rangers have to stay with them and beat an opponent that we all know is no where near our level.
