This was by far the best period the Rangers have played this whole series. That was the most sound and complete hockey I have seen played by the Rangers in a while. They controlled the puck so well and really took some heat off the defense and Henrik. Henrik made the saves he had to but he didn't face much pressure because of great offensive play and solid defense. The Rangers are absolutely dominating this game and if not for Marty, this score could be a lot higher. That was almost as good as a period as we could've had.
The goal was a thing of beauty. The passing was perfect throughout the period and on that play. Gomez put the puck right into the open net and you could really see the true emotion when he scored. He had to have felt great to score such a big goal against his former team. Let's hope he can put in one more this game and really put the Devils in a hole.
